INDIVIDUAL THERAPY SERVICES for WOMEN

Realizing your life isn’t going the way you always thought it would can be scary and overwhelming. As women, we all have times where we feel like we’ve lost the connection to ourselves, or aren’t sure we know who we are anymore. Counseling can help you figure out what’s working and what’s not, deepen your understanding and restore meaning and balance in your life.

My mission at Lotus Blossom Counseling for Women is to create a safe, affirming space where we can work together to identify barriers to your emotional well-being, heal past hurts and traumas and create change to bring you a greater sense of peace and joy.

I am passionate about supporting women of all ages in the following areas:

  • Grief and loss- We all experience the loss of something or someone important to us at some point in our life. You might grieve the loss of a loved one, relationship, opportunity or the idea of how you thought things would be. Feelings of grief and loss are painful and it can feel impossible to see a path to healing. With support and guidance, you can move through the grief and find meaning and wholeness in your life again.

  • Adjustment to illness- Living with a chronic or life limiting illness impacts every area of your life and can be difficult to talk about with friends or loved ones. You may feel uncertain about how to cope with the unpredictability of your symptoms or what the future will hold. Counseling provides a safe space to express your feelings, develop tools like relaxation and mindfulness strategies to help you cope and improve your quality of life.

  • Healing from past hurts and trauma- Your past experiences and history are part of what make you who you are and impact your life today. When these experiences are painful, traumatic and unresolved, it can feel like you are carrying a weight that stops you from living fully and experiencing happiness and peace. Trauma-informed counseling, in a safe, affirming space allows you to explore and heal the past so that you can be present in today.

  • Life transitions- Transitions are a natural part of life, something we will all experience many times. Yet, they can also be difficult to navigate, resulting in stress and uncertainty. Even positive life changes can result in stress as we try to adjust to a new chapter, perhaps even a new role. Marriage, divorce, having a child, changes in career or schooling, illness, becoming an “empty-nester”, and many others, might cause you to question yourself and your path forward. Counseling can help you reflect on the changes, reduce stress and find hope for the future.

  • Anxiety and depression - Given the many roles women fulfill, it is understandable that sometimes your mind just won’t stop, even when you are needing to rest. You find yourself filled with self-doubt and worry about so many things, and you aren’t sure how to handle it. Or you feel stressed and stretched, unsure how you will keep going. It is possible to learn new ways of coping with anxiety, depression and stress to help you feel more balanced, in control and deeply connected to your inner self.
